Central Mississippi Blues Society Band

The Blue Monday Band is comprised of the best of the best musicians, all members of the Central Mississippi Blues Society. Each of these artists is a regular in other bands and they come together to put on a great show in The Blue Monday Band. Featured artists are King Edward (The King Edward Band) lead guitar and a vocalist, and Pat Brown ( Miss Equal Opportunity), Abdul Rasheed (The Houserockers) and Dennis Fountain as vocalists. These vocalists serve-up great traditional blues as well as R&B, Soul Blues standards. The keyboard/saxophone player is Johnny Sharpe of the Latimore Band. The percussion is made up of either Dwight Ross or Rick Lewis on drums, both of whom have traveled nationally and internationally with many bands. Keith Collins is the funky bass player and Malcolm Shepherd keeps the beat going on the Congas. Most of these musicians were featured in The Last of the Mississippi Jukes and were regulars at the famous Subway Club in Jackson, Mississippi.
