Legendary Jackson, MS blues musicians are featured on the cover and in the Feb-March 2012 issue of Big City Rhythm & Blues magazines. King Edward and Rick Lewis are managed and booked by HTR as are the members of the Subway Revue: Pat Brown, Jimmy King, Abdul Rasheed, James Evans and London Moffett III. Chris Gill and Greg “Fingers” Taylor are booked by HTR. The wonderful Dorothy Moore, Bobby Rush and Grady Champion are also featured in the photo taken on Farish, St. in Jackson, MS. International Blues Challenge 2012

The International Blues Challenge will be held in Memphis TN on January 31, 2012 through February 4, 2012 . The Central Mississippi Blues Society is sending Chris Gill and D’Mar ( Derrick Martin) to represent us in the Solo/ Duo Category Together they have competed at the IBC in Memphis in 2011 and performed at the Chicago Blues Festival as well as numerous venues across the Southeast.

Dexter Allen and his band will be representing the Central Mississippi Blues Society in the band category. Dexter has performed at the Chicago Blues Fest for 2 years and has toured internationally with Bobby Rush and Denise LaSalle to name a few.

The Subway Revue consists of musicians who were regular performers at the Legendary Subway Lounge in Jackson, MS and who were featured in the documentary “Last of the Mississippi Jukes.”

The Subway Revue traveled to Austin, Texas to play for the wedding of Lacy and Michael Lyons.

: Way of Blues musicians featured in and on cover of BCR&B, June-July, 2011

The Way of Blues musicians (Bill Perry, Mickey Rogers, Alphonso Sanders, King Edward and Rick Lewis) are featured in the magazine and on the cover of the June/July , 2011 issue of Big City Rhythm and Blues along with other notable area musicians. The photo was shot in front of the Blue Front Cafe, Bentonia which is owned by Jimmy Duck Holmes who is in the photo also. Other wonderful musicians shown and interviewed are Bud Spires, Dexter Allen, Virgil Brawley, Chris Gill and D’Mar (Derrick Martin).
